ALS and Zelos Present Malaysia’s First Enterprise-Grade L4 Driverless Autonomous Logistics Vehicle to the Public

Autonomous Logistic Solutions Sdn. Bhd. (ALS), in partnership with Zelos, has presented Malaysia’s first enterprise-grade Level 4 (L4) driverless autonomous logistics vehicle to the public at the Smart City Expo Kuala Lumpur 2025 (SCEKL2025) — a landmark moment in the nation’s mobility journey.

The showcase, witnessed by YB Gobind Singh Deo and attended by key government agencies including Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB), signals the beginning of Malaysia’s pathway toward mainstream adoption of locally developed autonomous logistics solutions.

Kickstarting Malaysia’s Autonomous Mobility Journey

The debut marks more than just a technological milestone; it sets the foundation for a structured pathway toward national deployment of autonomous, driverless logistics vehicles. The demonstration is the first step in:

+ Testing Phase with Government Agencies
ALS will work closely with the Ministry of Transport and other regulators to initiate a sandbox testing, ensuring the vehicles are road-ready and compliant with Malaysia’s safety and operational standards.

+ Developing a National L4 Framework
ALS and Zelos are collaborating with local agencies to establish Malaysia’s first Level 4 autonomous framework, providing the regulatory foundation to support safe, scalable deployment.

+ Enterprise Partnerships & Proof-of-Concept Trials
Through partnerships with leading enterprises, ALS will initiate real-world proof-of-concept (PoC) projects across warehousing, ports, manufacturing, and retail logistics.

+ Addressing Logistics Risks & Safety Challenges
By introducing driverless autonomous operation on repetitive and high-risk routes, the vehicles enhance overall safety, reduce accident risks, and improve operational efficiency. All deployments will be supported by human oversight, ensuring safety, accountability, and seamless integration with Malaysia’s logistics workforce.

+ Mainstreaming Adoption & Regional Leadership
This initiative accelerates Malaysia’s readiness for widespread adoption of autonomous mobility, positioning the country as a regional leader in next-generation logistics and transportation solutions.
